What people ask us
Who actually removes the tree when I contact Sureplay Tree Service?
An independent local provider does. Sureplay Tree Service is a referral service, so we do not do the cutting or run any equipment ourselves. You tell us what is going on, we pass your details to a provider in our network, and that provider looks at the job and gives you a written quote.
How soon can someone come out for emergency tree removal?
It depends on the provider and on how busy the area is, especially after a tropical storm. Many providers can respond quickly to urgent jobs, but we cannot promise a time. Request a callback to check provider availability, or send the request form and say the tree is blocking a door, driveway or road.
How much does tree removal usually cost?
Typical U.S. prices run from a few hundred dollars for a small tree to several thousand for a tall one near a house. Size, location, access and cleanup all change the number. Storm work can cost more. Ask the provider for a written quote that lists exactly what is included before you agree.
Is it safe to cut down a tree myself?
For a small sapling, maybe. For anything tall, leaning or near a roof, it is risky. Trees can fall the wrong way, and branches can hide power lines. Ask the provider first. A trained provider has the gear and plan for the job, and you keep your feet on the ground.
What should I do if a tree falls on my house?
Stay out of any damaged area and keep everyone away from downed power lines. Take photos from a safe spot. Then request storm tree clearance through a provider. Providers can often help document damage for a claim. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy.
Does an older home change how a tree gets removed?
Yes, and that is why we say old house, extra care. Aging roofs, past repairs, old gutters and pier-and-beam foundations can be more fragile. Tell the provider about any weak spots you know of. They can plan how to lower limbs in pieces so nothing heavy lands where it should not.
Do I need stump grinding after the tree comes down?
Not always, but a leftover stump can sprout, attract pests and trip people up. Stump grinding chops it below the surface so you can plant grass or a new tree. Ask the provider to add it to the same written quote, and ask what happens to the wood chips.
Do I have to hire anyone if I request an estimate?
No. Requesting an estimate is no obligation. You share a few details about the tree, a local provider reviews them, and you decide what to do next. You can compare the written quote with others, ask questions, or say no thanks. Nobody should pressure you into a yes.
